Character History and Personality: The Hatter was born to Hatters and something of a jokester. He was a light spirited boy, as boys with light hearts could be. He knew the Queen was violent and untrustworthy and she was responsible for the people who just went missing in the night, if they spoke about her. His father included. He was too smart for revenge, oh no, that would wait, it would wait and mull and led to him singing a mocking song to the Queen at a party. It was daring and one of the reasons they called him mad, mad, mad, for who else would think they'd survive such insolence? He escaped execution but Time had taken offense at him murdering it for the sake of a song. When Hatter returned to his tea house, he found himself stuck at one time, for many, many years. How many years, he wasn't certain, it didn't matter, it all blended into itself. Wouldn't that make someone mad, mad, mad? The world passed on around him, and people occasionally came to his table, speaking of the happenings in Wonderland. He'd hide the ones he could, he gave information to the Queen and her people, he greased both sides of the aisle and stayed alive.

Hatter left his home only when he was summoned to be witness against the Knave of Hearts. He came very close to losing his head then, but that was every other day, so what was one more? Months (years? Decades? Who knows in Wonderland) later the tension from the Hearts loosened and he started working with the White King. He was a good man and much more tolerable for the Hatter to deal with. He had a certain amount of protection for it, enough that when his head was called for yet again (really what was his head good for, long term?) he was keeping out of trouble. He knew that Alice was making her way across the board, and that she beat the game, becoming a queen in her own right. Then she left again, throwing the game into a disarray. But they went on, as they always did.

The Hatter in his permanent time loop, surrounded with his teas that could double as drugs. They held emotions within them, pure joy or fiery hate. He knew the whispered secrets of Wonderland, on other side, sometimes they spoke right in front of him since he was a trapped mad man. The queen sometimes took humans through the looking glass and used them, never to be seen again, for what, he didn't know. Hatter was only concerned with surviving and going on. He is cunning and crafty, very good at avoiding trouble (and yet just as good as walking into it somehow), and he has a fist that punches like a sledgehammer. He wouldn't want to use that though, not in the least.

Update: Hatter met this new Alice and they got along swimmingly. He snipped at the Cat a bit and they "rescued" Wendy from the Tales door.

Journal/Key: It is a journal that's more patchwork than anything else. Every page is a different color and seems sewed together barely. His handwriting is all over the place and sometimes trails off entirely. The key is half broken and doesn't always work right.

Storylines;

Open: Queen of Hearts, everyone fears/hates that chick
Open: Knave of Hearts, they have some background.
Open: People willing to have tea parties with him!
